In 2019, it was reported that an estimated 970 million people around the globe were living with a mental disorder. The most common disorders people deal with are anxiety and depression, which during the Covid-19 pandemic, increased across the global population by 25%. Maybelline New York launched Brave Together in 2020 as a response to this crisis. A programme committed to opening up the conversation about mental health, it’s goal is to make support for anxiety and depression accessible to everyone, everywhere. Through the programme, Maybelline New York provides funding to local mental health non-governmental organisations worldwide. It supports them in delivering free, essential mental health services including one-to-one professional support via helplines and in-person student trainings.
